The drama is centered around two main couples. Couple 1: Joo Man and Seol Hee. Couple 2: Dong Man and Ae Ra. During the first couple of episodes, my feelings towards the main couples were best described by the following picture.
*Puts on bifocals* Back in my day, we had to find all sorts of way to watch our favorite Asian dramas. I remember downloading a special video player just to get subtitles to work or scrounging Youtube for bits and pieces.
I binge-watched in college at some point during my junior or senior year because I liked APink and Eunji. It immediately became my favorite drama. The pacing is perfect as all 16 episodes are under 30 minutes, so you can watch this in a day or two.
What if Korea still had a monarchy? Pretty much the premise of this drama as Emperor Lee Hyuk marries commoner Oh Sunny, and she must go from being a silly girl with a crush to the Empress of the Korean Empire.
I could not get through this drama. It was so drawn out and boring, and the characters made no sense. Even how they wind up sleeping together is weirdly forced and awkward. I started skipping through it to see what would happen, and when I realize the way they reconcile in the end was crappy too, I gave up altogether.
No love for My Mister? I thought it was amazing and very different from the other kdramas i have seen. The acting was superb from all the main characters and almost all of the supporting roles. A high tension level was created that lasted all the way through the series. The series is also beautifully shot with backgrounds and lighting having just as much importance to many scenes as the dialogue. The ambiguous ending is frustrating and rewarding at the same time. It is not a typical feel good series as everyone in the show has serious flaws and struggle to find their happiness inside. It is simply a brilliant work for any genre.
Hmm I think my only rec is to watch Reply 1994 next as they have accents from all over Korea (the theme is kids coming to Seoul for university). Will keep an eye out for satoori dialect dramas though!
I am trying to find out the name of a drama series about a Korean Empress. My friend said it was excellent, and she cannot remember the name. She told me about it a couple years ago or so, and I would recognize the name if I heard it.
I thought Descendants of the Sun tops any list of Korean dramas. I watched Where Stars Land recently but was not satisfied with tge ending..Can you suggest some Kdramas like Descendants of the Sun? Like something cute, cheesy and romantic?
I have a very weird taste in kdramas. As much as I am pulled towards the romantic ones ,I equally adore the unusual and quirky ones.I was blown away by dramas like:Prison playbookChicago typewriterSave meSecret affairSky castleWorld of marriedSignal.
I have watched everything uh just mentioned in ur website and I went through the comments too and I have watched every drama which is mentioned in comments too can anyone suggest me a more better drama?
Dead Poets Society is a wonderful drama script sample, especially when it comes to how to show the overall transformation of a collective by the influence of a single outsider. While the script is primarily serious, like all great drama scripts there are moments of humor and levity.
The screenplay is also one of the best drama script examples to study character. Note how Gerwig makes a rebellious character like Lady Bird more likable by revealing some of her more compelling moments through her untraditional friendships.
The genesis of this drama script was unusual in that writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson came up with the title before he even knew what the story was going to be about. After doing some research on the magnolia tree, he found that its bark could serve as a potential cure for cancer, which sparked his core idea.
While maybe not one of the best-known drama script examples on this list, Moon was widely praised upon its release on the 2009 film festival circuit and was even well-received by the scientific community!
Although a prison drama, the plot has been studied from a theological perspective and The Shawshank Redemption is a great example for those interested in incorporating symbolism into a screenplay. In particular, note the subtext behind the dialogue and ask yourself, What is the deeper meaning behind these words?
This 2018 drama screenplay co-written by Bradley Cooper, is the fourth rendition of this classic tale. Like the versions before it, the story contains the same themes of triumph and tragedy following the rise and fall of a star singer.
One of the best things about watching K-dramas is the laugh-out-loud comedy. There're many moments and scenes that elicit endless laughs and are hard to forget for many fans. When thinking about certain popular K-dramas, it's easy to recall that one scene that became so incredibly popular.
Fans can never forget when in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo when Joon-Hyung (Nam Joo-Hyuk) sees an oncoming vehicle that's about to pass through a puddle. Goblin is one of the most popular K-dramas to come out of 2016 and has since set the high standard for the genre. Many of the drama's best comedic lines have been turned into memes, but amongst all the show's best scenes, there's one that sticks out. Goblin (Gong Yoo) and the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong-Wook) are having a small fight, but not with their fists or words.
Extraordinary You is a K-drama that breaks the fourth wall, in a way. The main character Dan-Oh (Kim Hye-Yoon) soon realizes that her life isn't her own and she's part of a fabricated reality created by a writer. She becomes increasingly aware of set stages and scenarios that she has no control over.
Welcome To Waikiki is a fan favorite comedy-drama. It entails three aspiring moviemakers who open a vacation home in Itaewon. The drama had fans laughing from beginning to end, but if there's one scene that's known by all K-drama fans it's when Dong-Gu (Kim Jung-Hyun) and Yoon-Ah (Jung In-Sun) get a ride from Joon-Ki (Lee Yi-Kyung).
