Aanandha Yaazhai is a 2017 Tamil language film directed by Akash and produced by Suresh Kumar Pictures. The film is the sequel of the 2015 film Naanayam, with the same director and lead cast. The film stars Suriya and Aishwarya Rajesh in the leading roles.
The soundtrack of the film was released on 15 October 2016, along with the first teaser trailer. The film's release was announced in January 2016, with a theatrical trailer released in July 2016. Anirudh Ravichander wrote the lyrics for all the songs, while A. R. Rahman composed music for the soundtrack.
Abhishek Ikktaar, an engineer, ventures to Japan for a film project and meets Meera (Aishwarya Rajesh), a 15-year-old girl with a disability.
The pair fall in love with each other and Meera's mother accepts him as Meera's husband. Later, Meera and Anand get married and are happy. During this time, Abhishek is shown to be very affectionate towards his wife and sometimes showered with affectionate kisses.
As Abhishek tries to make his wife Anand happy, Meera becomes tense with him. She doesn't like to be touched by him and becomes aggressive with him when he does so. Anand gets to know about this and becomes angry with Abhishek.
Meera, who had started developing romantic feelings for Abhishek, forgets everything and starts hating him.
Meera also becomes increasingly jealous of the behaviour of Meena, Abhishek's younger sister. She sees Abhishek with Meena and feels jealous and insulted. After several instances, Abhishek stops seeing Meena.
Anand who was unhappy with Abhishek and Meera's behaviour changes, starts to be seen by Meera's friends, Meena and Abhishek's friends. Abhishek gets to know about this.
Abhishek and Meera fight and break up. Abhishek then comes to know about Meera's illness. He comes to her house and tells her that he loves her and will stand by her. He proposes to her.
Meera is happy with this, but her mother is upset. Meera and her mother try to patch up their relationship, but this doesn't go well.
